Shortly after praising my love for MMOs and my eagerness for Final Fantasy XIV, a new video pops up! What luck I have huh? As I impatiently check my e-mail about every hour or so for that beta invite, I happened to stumble upon this. The video, though it says gameplay, doesn’t show anything truly interesting such as combat. It is for the most part showing how the game is, where it is at graphically, and it’s animations. The video, as boring as it was, still got me excited for what’s to come soon to us MMO fans.

I do suggest muting the video if you cannot stand the very loud play-by-play commentary in Japanese. “Ooooh Chocobo!”

About a month ago we posted a trailer that gave a very hollywood kind of feeling. This time around we have a more traditional trailer, yet it still gets the same point across. These trailers clearly show the story mode as a focal point of the game. The story has big screen written all over it. That may or may not appeal to some of you, but it seems to be engrossing, to say the least.

Splinter Cell: Conviction will feature a brand new co-op mode, which is a prequel of the actual game with about six hours in length to complete. With new features such as the “Mark and Execute”, “Last Known Position”, and the new crowd mechanic which will allow Sam to naturally blend into a crowd to avoid detection. It seems that Ubisoft Montreal, who worked on the Assassins Creed titles, decided to incorporate this feature into Splinter Cell also.

If you’re still on the fence on whether or not you’ll give this game a try, just check out the demo that released last week on Xbox Live. Splinter Cell: Conviction will be available for purchase on Xbox 360 and PC on April 13th.

Modern Warfare 2 has had an enormous amount of success since it originally released back in November 2009, so it should be expected that the first DLC to be released will be pushing some hefty numbers. With a price tag of $15, the guys at Activision and Infinity Ward will be milking this cow for as much money as possible. The package will include five maps, three of which will be new, two will be some of our old-time favorites from Modern Warfare 1. The maps include Bailout, Storm, Salvage, Overgrown, and Crash.

Bailout appears to be a modern urban environment, with houses, pools, driveways, porches and windows everywhere you look. It seems like it will be one hectic map. Storm, ironically, is very reminiscent of the maps Downpour and Pipeline from Modern Warfare 1. Salvage is a winter wonderland, in a junkyard. Cars piled up as high as the eye can see, a crane in the center of the map, and even a dog house makes an appearance here. Chances are you’re familiar with Overgrown and Crash, so if you want some footage check out the trailer below.

I like a good RPG every now and then, okay maybe a lot. The Witcher had originally released on PC back in 2007. Three years later, and we may be getting part 2. I tried playing through The Witcher when it released, it had enormous potential but I found it very buggy. It has been confirmed that The Witcher 2 will be releasing on PC first, and then the guys at CD Projekt RED will be developing the title for consoles as well.

When it comes to RPGs, I believe it’s difficult to accomplish a solid experience on a console. Games such as Fallout, Final Fantasy 13, and Oblivion have found the correct formula for consoles, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be an easy job to convert a former PC exclusive title to your PS3 or 360. I think I’ll be taking my chances on the PC version. We don’t have an official release date as of yet, but one would imagine the game is close to being released, we’ll keep you updated.

Everybody who’s anybody that has played a racing game knows what Gran Turismo is. So it should be of no surprise that people are excited for the fifth installment of the franchise that’s expected to be given a release date sometime this year in 2010. For those who have been waiting anxiously for the title to be released since it’s been originally announced forever ago, I feel your pain but the finish line is in sight my friends! More and more details are surfacing of Gran Turismo 5 this year, and this is definitely going to be the year.

We recently had the chance to look over a new HD trailer that was released 2 weeks ago, and the game looks amazingly realistic. We’ve now been provided with some new screenshots that have surfaced over the weekend. Personally, these screenshots look accurate enough to be displayed on your desktop wallpaper and easily mistaken for a real photograph. For those of you who didn’t happen to preorder the highly anticipated Heavy Rain for the PS3, no need to fret. Releasing on April 1st, will be the Taxidermist downloadable-content. The Taxidermist provides an additional backstory to Madison Paige, in which she apparently has a lead on who the origami killer is. I for one think that Madison Paige didn’t get as much time and story dedicated to her ingame as she deserved, so Madison fans or Heavy Rain fans in general should give the DLC a try. IT’ll be available April 1st, for $4.99 on the Playstation Store.

In Kane and Lynch 2, we travel to Shanghai with our favorite “self medicated psychopath” Lynch. We all remember Kane and Lynch 1 was mostly from Kanes point of view, now we take control of our buddy Lynch through their next adventure. We’ve got a trailer here to show you, and it’s definitely an interesting one that involves a nude woman running through the streets of Shangai, a car being pummeled by a cement truck, and of course lots of firefights. Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days will release on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on August 24th, 2010.

It’s no surprise that God Of War 3 has been helping move a large amount of PS3′s in the short amount of time it’s been available. With the hype that has been surrounding this Playstation 3 exclusive, it should be of no surprise that it would be one of the most successful titles of the year – and it’s only march!

We’ve been spoiled this march, with both God Of War 3 and Final Fantasy XIII, so gamers have had their hands full the past week or so. Soon most of those gamers will be finishing up with FFXIII and moving onto bigger badder jobs, such as Kratos’ vengeance.

NOTE: Playing God Of War 3 may result in ignoring your girlfriend, wife, and anybody else in the area.

The day is finally here. The Awakening expansion that has been receiving plenty of spotlight over the past month or two is available. The expansion includes plenty of content, with 24 new spells, a multitude of new NPCs, six new specializations, and 32 new rogue and warrior talents are all available within the expansion along with the new Warden background story you’ll be playing through.

For those who purchased Wardens Keep, remember that was not a full fledged expansion as Awakening is. You’ll be receiving much more when purchasing Awakening, and we better for the $40 dollar price tag.

With the amount of success UFC Undisputed 2009 received, it’s no wonder we are receiving a much more polished sequel. There were many issues users didn’t enjoy in the first UFC, but for the most part the game did it’s job well being one of the first UFC games on the market to truly captivate it’s audience. UFC Undisputed 2010 looks to pick up where it’s predecessor left off. UFC is a multiplatform title, but for those of you who own both an Xbox 360 and PS3, keep reading as we may have some insight for you.

The Playstation 3 version will have a few extra playable fighters available to choose from the long list. Those fighters names include Royce Gracie, Jens Pulver, and Dan Severn. Along with that, there will also be an extra 5 matches in the Ultimate Fight mode for the PS3 version. Ultimate Fight mode in UFC is basically Madden Moments for the game. It allows the player to fight previously fought memorable battles in the octagon, and upon completion unlocks a montage with raw footage of the real life match.
